StretchMeal ("the app") is developed by Codemates. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it's used.
Information We Collect
Account Information: Creating an account requires an email address and password, handled securely by our backend provider, Supabase. Your email is used for sign-in, account recovery, and account-related communication.
Photos: When you scan ingredients or log a meal by photo, the image is sent securely to our server and forwarded to a third-party AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to identify ingredients or estimate nutrition — it is not permanently retained by that service beyond what's needed to complete the request. Meal photos and an optional profile photo are stored securely with our backend provider, Supabase, tied to your account.
App Data: Your favorites, health profile, macro targets, meal plans, and consumption logs are stored securely with our backend provider, Supabase, tied to your account, so they sync across your devices.
Health & Fitness Data: If you use the optional daily-target calculator or weight tracking features, we collect height, weight, age, biological sex, activity level, and goal weight to personalize your suggested calorie/macro targets and, if you opt in, show your weight trend over time. This is entirely optional and never required to use the app.
What We Don't Do
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not run advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.
Third-Party Services
StretchMeal uses the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:
- Supabase — account authentication, database, and file storage
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — ingredient recognition from photos
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing
Your Choices
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app via Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, logs, favorites, meal plans, and any stored photos. If you're unable to access the app, you can request deletion by emailing codemates@gmail.com. You can revoke camera or photo library access anytime in your device's Settings.
Children's Privacy
StretchMeal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Account Deletion
StretchMeal users can permanently delete their account and all associated data (profile, logs, favorites, meal plans, and stored photos) at any time in the app via Settings → Delete Account. If you no longer have the app installed, you can request the same deletion by emailing codemates@gmail.com.
